Can Paranoid Schizophrenia Be Passed on in the Family?

Paranoid schizophrenia is not that likely to be passed to your children but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t possible to get it from the family gene or that people are not prone to develop the disease. Most parents do have to take their children to a check-up when diagnosed with the disease to make sure that there is no problem. It is always better to check the family history because there is always a chance that the child might develop it in the future.

The good news is that the tests are going to be really fast and not intrusive. Contrary to what you might think, it is possible to do tests without having to get your brain scanned. The bottom line is that the disease can be passed on in a family but it is not a rule that always applies. In fact, most children do not suffer from the diseases of the parents.
